Lykke Li stands out amongst her peers with her passionate and unqiue style and voice, and her latest release I Never Learn is no different.
Fashioned as a break-up album, each track seems to express a new front of heartbreak, from disappointment (“I Never Learn“), to guilt (“No Rest for The Wicked“) and even frustration (“Never Going to Love Again“ – although this track is reminiscent of a sappy 90s love hit).
Her soft, echoed vocals blend together with the resonating and reverb-filled instrumentals, and at times, will share the stage as one, or take turns in the spotlight, forming explosive choruses or intimate verses. “No Rest for the Wicked“ is a highlighting example of her talent and the best track from the album.
