Slamming together members from North of America, Holy Fuck, and Long Weekends, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia’s Cryptotrips is the newly formed indie rock project. Bringing forward influences from each former band, the garage-rock four piece have shared two new singles available as a pay-as-you-will download.
“Glenwood G.G.” and “Hau Kea” are the early stages of what sounds to be an exciting, prosperous ensemble that channels old school punk, lo-fi rock, and brings it into a contemporary setting, similar to the likes of Viet Cong, METZ, and chastity.
Vigorous guitar riffs are met with hard-hitting drum rhythms and blood-pumping vocals for both tracks; head banging and dancing are a must. Take a listen below and check them out on their two-stop preliminary tour:
