Oh Geronimo – The Flood 7″

Burlington indie rock group Oh Geronimo believe in the importance of living in the moment and escaping from the “regret and anxiety and stress [that] get in the way”.

Their latest EP The Flood is based upon that menatliy after band member Ciarán Downes’ house became flooded twice during the seasonal transition from winter to spring: “it had a much more tragic and lasting effect than I anticipated, since many sentimental items were slowly destroyed by mould“.

The two-track 7″ is available as a free download. “The Flood” is an warm-spirited recollection of the basement’s wet destruction combining indie rock and folk, before transitioning into the melancholy “Waves (The Flood Pt. 2)”.
