Italian/Icelandic trio My Cruel Goro have released their debut, self-titled EP this week. Bringing their raw, rigorous punk sound to the table, the three track EP moves from Brit-punk, to alternative grunge, and comes full circle with their sound, giving the EP a perfect cherry on top.

Loaded with fuzzy guitar riffs, bashing rhythms and raw energy, My Cruel Goro touch back to the early days of punk on opening track “Crash”. Creating a medley of ’70s underground melodic punk mixed with new-wave robotic rigidity from electrifying synthesizers. Alternative grunge song “Crapford” is a stepping stone over to the final, glue-sniffing track “Glue Buzz”. Starting with a swinging, dance-punk hook, it eventually hits a switch and incorporates elements of shoegaze, and progressive punk for a Smashing Pumpkins-inspired explosion that leaves the EP finishing at the apex.
