Heading to Kickstarter to fund their latest release, the five-song EP opens with “Start Somewhere” and maintains the upbeat, pop rock flavour throughout, transitioning into “Lonely Prisoner”.

Groovy riffs and dance friendly melodies make up the foundation of the record. The catchy, dynamic vocals from Tyler Boyd mix together perfectly with brightly coloured guitar hooks and creative rhythm sections on “Empty Space” and the explosive track “Gotta Go”. Playing with youthful emotions and songwriting give a refreshing contribution to the indie pop sphere with “Missing Ember”.

Sure to be firmly planted in your memory, Play Pretend EP is an impressive step forward and is a strong example of what the young group is capable of crafting in the future.
