Sun Club – Tropicoller Lease (Official Music Video)

Citing The Beach Boys and Animal Collective as two major influences on their sound, Baltimore’s Sun Club make sure not to take themselves too seriously when creating music. Instead, they create colourful, dynamic songs that substitute blocked structure for unfettered, melodic creativity.

Having known each other since childhood for over ten years, the tight-knit connection is transferred into their sound with alternating time signatures, and genuine, danceable chaos. Their debut album Dongo Durango hits shelves October 30th and to help lead up to the date, the five-piece have shared the lo-fi, vintage-esque music video for “Tropicoller Lease”.

With off-centered vocals like a caffeinated Luke Pritchard (of the Kooks), and the entertaining appeal of Animal Collective, “Tropicoller Lease” is an exciting prequel to the upcoming LP.
