Stiletto Feels – Steal Your Guitar

For Austin, Texas musician Geoffrey Earle, his reputation is widely known as “hard-headed”. There are positive aspects of that trait however: high expectations, driven to find genuine talent, and a constant hunger for creativity. After ending a number of musical projects, Earle began crafting pieces of songs without any clear direction. Eventually, Earle created the collective effort known as Stiletto Feels – a melting pot of local musicians and engineers that met his requirements of talent and willingness to work with him.

Jam sessions would consist of improvisations overtop pre-recorded parts Earle had composed, and then after enough material was collected, he would tediously edit and puzzle together elements to create tracks.

Set to be released November 20th, The Big Fist is Earle’s lovechild of musical alchemy. Leading the way is the synth-pop, funk-rock single “Steal Your Guitar”, about precisely that – stealing Earle’s guitar. Gloomy synth swelling eventually turns into a cloudy dance-pop chorus as the song remains nothing short of engaging with sharp, staccato rhythms and melodies.

You can catch the group live for an album release show November 20th in Austin at Cheer Up Charlies.
