One-man band Fog Lake has returned to his childhood hometown of Glovertown, Newfoundland. With the intent to live a quaint existence while producing a similarly remote style of music, Aaron Powell (a.k.a Fog Lake) released his latest record Victoria Park earlier this year, composed of bedroom-pop tracks and lo-fi authenticity.

From the release, the singer-songwriter has shared the newly crafted music for the vintage-style single “Shanty Town”. With the help of video director and long-time friend Tyler T. Williams, the accompanying visual aid is a series of worn out video footage, helping to capture the homemade ambience of the track.

Tyler is my favorite music video director around these days so just being able to work with him is a dream. Ever since I saw his videos for Coma Cinema and Youth Lagoon I completely admired his work and took a lot from it for my own video work. I think he did an incredible job capturing the feel of the song and as soon as he sent me the first rough cut I knew he really understood the vibe I was trying to go for on Victoria Park…This video particularly feels like a dream. Tyler really nailed it”.
