Toronto indie pop group Paradise Animals have been fairly quiet since their 2012 self-titled EP, but Mark Andrade and his long-time friends Gary Pereira and Kerri Silva have returned, announcing their debut full-length Day Bed will be released November 13th. Ahead of the artful pop release, the trio have shared their new music video for the lead single “Monday Morning”.
Capturing the slow-burning energy of a Monday, the single flows with colourful bedroom-pop textures that collide together tropical with outer space, finally combining it with a glossy synth-pop melody, and the vocal density of post-punk.
Contrasting the calming pop style of the track, the accompanying music video shines the light on a cluster of eccentric and random combinations that transform from silhouettes into colourful mishaps.
