Hamilton songstress Jennifer Budd proudly released her debut full length Lip Service on November 13th, and the soulful album was preceded by a few singles, including “Don’t Even“, and “The Colonel“.

Continuing to support the release, Budd has shared her latest single “Church”. She explains:

“‘Church’ was inspired by a performance I saw of Charles Bradley. He asked the audience, ‘Do you all want to go to church?’ Everyone screamed as one in anticipation of his next musical move. The chorus of ‘Church’ is meant to remind listeners, myself included, that in the midst of a frantic world, that can sometimes feel restricting, there are moments and places that we can come together and feel free.”

Showcasing her towering vocal power and soul-driven pop flare, “Church”  puzzles together dramatic horn flares, belted melodies, and dramatic delivery.
