Since releasing his debut Origo EP last year, Norwegian indie pop artist St. Niklas has surpassed over 200 thousand Spotify streams alone, and with his success slowly rolling in, the singer-songwriter is expected to release his follow-up effort C-O-O-L EP this year.

The announcement is shared with the release of the lead single and title track. “C-O-O-L” captures the fragile, cool voice of St. Niklas, against a dreamy, ’80s-pop combination of synthesizers and fuzzy harmonies. Singing of a girl who “would rather get high than to hang with [him]”, St. Niklas sings of the melancholic decision between being attracted to someone at face value or because of a genuine connection.
