B.C. synth-rock group Van Damsel have been making the best of the past year; releasing an EP, winning $50,000 at Vancouver’s PEAK Performance Project, and supporting established Canadian acts such as Tokyo Police Club, Mother Mother, and Yukon Blonde. Now West Coast four-piece are taking full swing at 2016 with the upcoming release of their debut self-titled full-length, and a Canadian Spring tour (dates below).

Known for their infectious energy and synth-pop meets ’80s-alternative style, Van Damsel are excited for the spring. Out April 22nd, Van Damsel is a collection of pop-fuelled melodies, a sprinkle of contemporary new wave, and irresistible charm. The danceability of the album goes hand in hand with the group’s drive and passion.

Drummer Matthew Baron explains, “this LP represents our broader palette, incorporating more influences than we have in the past…We want people to walk away from a show feeling inspired…inspired to do whatever it is they want to do, to pursue it with passion and persist through challenges”.
