Stockholm alternative rock outfit Factory Brains first formed in 2010 when the trio were barely out of their teenage years. Originally signed to Universal, but after a few complications, signed with Atlantis a few years later, the young Swedish band released their sophomore collection Hard Labor this past February.
From the long overdue effort comes the slow-burning, Americana folk track “Down the River”, as the band channels the likes of Band of Horses and The Avett Brothers.
Warm jangling piano harmonies, and ringing guitar melodies give the single a heartfelt personality as the fluid camera movement and scarce cuts in the music video create a feeling of continuous flow through as the protagonist makes his way down the city streets.
