It’s of no surprise to hear that Montreal-based DJ Fonkynson spent his childhood living in France. Well-known for their stunning electronic music scene, the French have a certain way with groovy melodies, and trance-inducing textures and rhythms.
Comfortably established in the Montreal electronic scene, Fonkynson is releasing his sophomore album #followme today (May 27). Incorporating the addictive sounds of nu-disco, and French house into the 10-track effort comes the futuristic lead single “Aquarelle”, which playful jumps between dance-friendly synth-pop and swelling, lush future house. Held together by one irresistible hook, “Aquarelle” effortlessly captivates the listener with the desire to dance along.
