It’s all been done before; that blend of fuzz-filled guitars, muddy percussion, and laid-back vocals singing of genuine suburbian-boredom. But what made the alternative/grunge music of the ’80s and ’90s resonant still rings true in 2016, and Australian rock outfit Violent Soho are proof (their hit single “Covered in Chrome” just went Gold).
After releasing their fourth full-length Waco earlier this year, Violent Soho have shared the new music video for their lead single “So Sentimental”. Backed by the band’s harmony-filled, slow-burning grunge sound, “So Sentimental” shows the band travelling through a wide, open field, and exploring places from their past, before rocking out in the middle of the vast plains.
