New York post-punk revival outfit The Strokes released their surprise Future Present Past EP earlier this month, and from the three-track (technically four) effort is the retro-friendly hit “Threat of Joy”. Although their music grew in popularity from the recycling of older music styles, The Strokes do so in a favourable manner, returning to the “Past” with their latest music video.
With the pulse of the ’70s in their music, The Strokes have some fun and create a thrilling conspiracy story at a TV station lost in the theme of the decade. Creeping, pig-masked villains, beautiful bombshells, and all shot on vintage film rolls.
