U.K. electronic hip-hop artist M.I.A. has announced her fifth studio album will be released September 9th. With a discography that centres around social and political issues, M.I.A.’s upcoming album A.I.M. will be no different, providing an eclectic mix of electronic, hip-hop, and world music to critique the social injustices and problems in other parts of the world.
After releasing the album’s first track “Borders” earlier this year, M.I.A. has shared the latest single “Go Off” and it’s accompanying music video. Produced by long-time collaborator Blaqstarr along with Skrillex, “Go Off” plays with dancehall style rhythms with a steady bass-pumping beat to support it.
