Wylder – Bitter (Official Music Video)

Earlier this year, Washington-via-Virginia indie folk pop group Wylder released their warm-spirited debut Rain and Laura, which included the hit single “Swells“. From the release comes “Bitter”, an equally heart-warming and uplifting indie folk tune despite the name, and to add to their visual collection, the young band have shared the song’s new music video.
After a recent breakup with a troublesome ex, “Bitter” is about the hunt for a favourite sweater. Although dealing with a past love, the song’s upbeat and entertaining demeanour turns the sappy post-love trope on its head with lush melodies, full-band harmonies, and a happy ending. Setting his priorities straight, the protagonist makes his way across town in search of his favourite sweater, as the charming song provides an encouraging soundtrack.
