A Message from Kane…

For the past three years, I’ve put a lot of heart, soul, and energy into making Dusty Organ something special and my own. And while I’ve enjoyed all the big moments and small victories, I’ve decided I will be taking an indefinite hiatus from Dusty Organ to take a step back and refocus. This is not the end of D.O; it’s just a pause in my work to figure out what’s next. I hope to pursue new interests and challenges in 2017 and see where they lead me. In the…

It seems you guys have really found a voice and sound for…

Jacques Greene – Real Time

Bonobo – No Reason ft. Nick Murphy (Official Music Video)

Electronic artist Bonobo took over the new releases last Friday with his sixth studio album Migration. From the release comes the lead single “No Reason” and its visual accompaniment. Featuring longtime friend and collaborator Nick Murphy (f.k.a. Chet Faker), “No Reason” is a powerful, yet familiar folktronica track that has the density of a true Bonobo hit, but with the light touch of Murphy’s vocals. Capturing the song’s creative heart, the music video takes the listener on a visual trip. Directed by Oscar Hudson, the video’s strange characteristics are rooted in themes of…

The Chainsmokers – Paris

Electronic duo The Chainsmokers are no strangers to stardom. The Grammy nominated pair of Drew Taggart and Alex Pall took over 2016 with their hit “Closer” and as the calendars reset, The Chainsmokers are making the best of 2017 with their newly released single “Paris”. Featuring vocals from Taggart and their signature glossy blend of EDM and pop, the new single is a downtempo and nostalgic track, playing on their reoccurring theme of reminiscing of a past love. Hollerado – Born Yesterday

Ottawa indie rock underdogs Hollerado have taken some time off since their 2015 single “Firefly” and ambitious 111 Songs project. Small tours and songwriting took up most of their 2016, but the dynamic four-piece are starting off the new year with a bang by releasing their latest single “Born Yesterday”. Although known for their quirky, melodic indie rock, Hollerado seem to ditch their usual brand of sound for power chord rock and 2000s-esque pop rock for the new track. Sing-along choruses and youthful “yeah yeah yeahs” show a simple, more pop side of Hollerado.…
