Hollerado – Born Yesterday

Ottawa indie rock underdogs Hollerado have taken some time off since their 2015 single “Firefly” and ambitious 111 Songs project. Small tours and songwriting took up most of their 2016, but the dynamic four-piece are starting off the new year with a bang by releasing their latest single “Born Yesterday”. Although known for their quirky, melodic indie rock, Hollerado seem to ditch their usual brand of sound for power chord rock and 2000s-esque pop rock for the new track. Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival: Day 4

Persevering through the chilly, rainy weather that made the ducks happy, the Dragon Boat Festival came to a close on Sunday. The final day of free concerts made the most of the afternoon, with Ottawa singer-songwriter Craig Cardiff (and his adorable dog), Manotick favourites Hollerado, and Toronto’s Tokyo Police Club. Mother Nature forced Craig Cardiff to perform in the Main Festival Tent instead of the usual stage, but made the most of it none the less.
