It’s that time of year again, folks. RBC Bluesfest is getting underway for the 22nd year in Ottawa Thursday night and the 2016 edition is expected to be yet another fantastic festival. With almost 200 performances over the span of 9 days, figuring out who to catch at Bluesfest can be a bit of a challenge. Suits N’ Toques: Forno EP Release Party (w/ Francbatards + Cardboard Crowns) May 15, 2015

Ottawa ska outfit Suits N’ Toques released Forno, their second EP, on May 15th. To celebrate, the six-piece band took over the legendary Rainbow Bistro for a wild, Friday night. Alongside the skanking-party animals (skanking is a dance in case eyebrows were raised), they invited French-cocktail reggae/ska troupe Les Francbatards and Ottawa-native/Toronto-based ska-punk ensemble Cardboard Crowns to join the set list.
