Adebisi Shank – This is the Third Album of a Band Called “Adebisi Shank”
4.5/5
Math-rock trio Adebisi Shank have released their third album This is the Third Album of a Band Called Adebisi Shank. The Irish group definitely bring forward a one-of-a-kind sound, claiming to channel a range of “cinematic and fantastical” influnces, from Pixar films, to Game of Thrones, to Enya. The result is a light-bulb exploding, sporadic-dancing inducing experience not to be missed.
Opening with the N64-esque track “World in Harmony“, the album starts off on the best foot possible. Integrating electronic layers, with dance-rock energy and punchy-guitar distortion, the instrumental track recharges, leaving you craving for more.
“Big Unit” flexes the band’s nintendo-rock/math-rock abilities with the nostalgic sounds of a video game effects, and the aggressively triumphant ending.
Emotional, and galaxtically mesmirizing, “Voodoo Vision“ is a more sculptured track from the album, but still carries over the same amount of energy and intensity that is spread out across Third Album.
