Mocky – Whistlin’
As the release date for his upcoming LP Key Change approaches (June 26), and having already released the first single “Living in the Snow“, Canadian songwriter Mocky has premiered the music video for “Whistlin'”. Influenced by his time living in Berlin, and then returning back to North America, his music carries with it a sense of feeling at home.
Keeping with his laid-back, Sunday-morning style, “Whistlin'” is a delicate and charming the whole way through bringing together elements of jazz, psychedelic textures, and compositional integrity. Mocky’s eccentric style is never overbearing (be it forming a puppet rap group, or making a point to perform in European zoos while on tour); instead migrates its way into the comfort zone, but with a twist.
