Dralms – Shook
Once a musical project fronted by Vancouver musician Christopher Smith alongside electronic producer Andy Dixon, Dralms has since grown into a five-piece after an extensive tour schedule proved to be an adhesive experience. Shaun Thomas Watt (drums), Peter Carruthers (bass), and William Kendrick (keyboards) joined the ranks and are releasing their upcoming record Shook October 2nd.
After the May release of the Pillars & Pyre EP (and the title track’s music video), the new album – which will feature the songs from the EP – is expected to be equally as captivating and sincere.
Adding to the anticipation is the release of the latest single “Shook”.
Incorporating the signature melodramatic vocals of Smith, and crystallized electronic production from Dixon, the extension of the band members has similarly expanded the music’s complexity and density. Hauntingly spellbinding, and pleasingly alluring, “Shook” gently seeps through the speakers like a melting block of ice.
You can catch Dralms live August 7 at the Squamish Valley Music Festival in Squamish, B.C.
