Halifax-based singer-songwriter Gianna Lauren pushed her atmospheric pop style farther into the music world with her single “Mistakes”, which was featured on NPR’s All Songs Considered in April. With a new collection set to be released in the near future, Lauren has shared her newest recording titled “Windows”.
Bold, yet not overbearing, “Windows” combines thought provoking lyrics, with delicate and dramatic musicality. Lauren’s soft, crystallized vocals sit on top a wall of ethereal instrumentation, layered by bricks of punctuated percussion, hypnotic guitar lines, and a driving bass rhythm.
