Since 2000, experimental outfit Animal Collective have been ignoring the conventional recipe for making music. Pushing the boundaries with a captivating, unpredictable edge, the trio composed of Panda Bear (Noah Lennox), Geologist (Brian Weitz), and Avery Tare (Dave Portner) have announced their eleventh album Painting With will be released February 19, 2016.
Alongside the announcement, Animal Collective have shared their new single “FloriDada” off the upcoming record.
Irresistibly eccentric, “FloriDada” layers together vibrant textures, harmonizing synthesizers, and the unique flare of Animal Collective into a sunny, warm, and surprisingly fun single. Flaunting hints from ’60s pop, and The Beach Boys, “FloriDada” is an exciting look at the upcoming effort.
