Justin Sawicki – Upsala Trees
Regarded as a veteran in the Hamilton music scene, Justin Sawicki has been creating music and performing since 2003. With countless performances, a handful of EPs, and what will be his second full-length come December 11 under his belt, Sawicki has now shared his latest single “Upsala Trees”.
The singer-songwriter is proud of his homegrown efforts, saying: “This album, I feel exemplifies what being an “Independent” artist is. The record was made entirely in home studios, and the only finger prints on it are mine and those of my close friends. We had complete control over everything”.
Rooted in storytelling and rustic Canadian musicianship, “Upsala Trees” shifts from western-style blues riffs, to dense, foot-stomping folk melodies, ringing home the phrase “the Devil don’t waste his time on me when I’ve been singing to the Upsala trees”.
Justin Sawicki’s self-titled full-length is out December 11th and you can find more information and purchase the record through his website.
