Halifax psych-rock lo-fi outfit Walrus are currently finishing up a stint of tour stops in support of fellow East Coast alternative group Wintersleep (check out the gallery from their Ottawa show here). Adding to their busy lives, Walrus will be releasing their latest EP Goodbye Something later this year.
From the forthcoming collection is the low-light, psychedelic hit “Wearing It”. Full of fuzzy distortion, dizzying melody, and undeniable groove, the Halifax band keep the best for last, holding off on the high-energy guitar solo to close off the track.
Shot in their hometown, the accompanying video is a psychedelic reconstruction of the song’s personality and aura. Colourful, kaleidoscopic lighting and clothing mix together with strange visual effects and trippy situations.
