Perth, Australia’s The Love Junkies have been around for a few years now, breaking into their local underground music scene back in 2009. But it was only last year the Aussie four-piece found their way into the ears and hearts of North American fans. Playing SXSW and CMW in 2015, the alternative grunge rock group are releasing their third album later this year.
Apart of the upcoming collection is their lead single “Nobody”, a bass-crunching, sweeping track that combines the dark-stained qualities of grunge with the catchy, seemingly warm glow of indie rock. Alt-punk distortion circa-2000, and captivating bass-driven melodies give The Love Junkies a sturdy position in the new alternative scene.
