The Temper Trap – Fall Together
(If you like: Young the Giant, Bombay Bicycle Club, Miike Snow)
It’s been almost eight years since Australian indie rock outfit The Temper Trap released their unforgettable hit single “Sweet Disposition” off their 2009 debut Conditions. The anthemic, ethereal track launched the band to major success around the world, and most notably in Australia and the U.K., winning numerous awards and receiving handfuls of nominations.
Along with Conditions, the four-piece released their 2011 self-titled album to positive acclaim, and after extensive touring, The Temper Trap are releasing their third studio album this summer. Thick as Thieves will be out June 10th, and the Aussie quartet have shared the upcoming record’s lead single “Fall Together”.
Known for their atmospheric and spacious song writing, The Temper Trap are holding onto their familiar sound, but have chosen to collaborate with a series of new producers to find a new musical direction, using their past as the compass. Producer Justin Parker (Lana Del Rey, Sia, Bat For Lashes) contributes to “Fall Together”, giving the song a hearty dose of arena-rock power and lush pop textures.
The remainder of the album also features collaborations with Ben Allen (Animal Collective, Deerhunter), Malay (Frank Ocean) and Pascal Gabriel (Ladyhawke, Gsldfrapp) for a compelling group of inspiration. You can head to the band’s website to pre-order your copy and discover more music.
