Darlingside – White Horses (Official Music Video)
(If you like: Bear’s Den, The Barr Brothers, Admiral Fallow)
Last fall saw the release of Boston-based folk quartet Darlingside‘s latest album Birds Say, a stunning record rich with vocal harmonies, banjos, and string arrangements. From the album is the passionate single “White Horses”, a song about growing up in the outskirts of Chicago, and the memories formed and kept as the seasons pass.
To accompany the song’s thoughtful and melancholic demeanour comes the beautifully animated music video. Directed/animated by Abraham Dieckman, the video for “White Horses” works in a cyclic flow, with the horizon always moving forward, as the story’s protagonist runs through the life and each passing season to eventually return home to the apple fields of his youth.
Enjoy the heartfelt video below, and head to their website for more music. Plus, catch them on tour this summer (dates below).
