Indie folk pop outfit Wild Child are one of those hidden musical secrets. Existing just below the spotlight, the Austin, Texas septet are one of the most underrated groups of the indie music scene. After the release of their phenomenal third album Fools last year, the band have been busy touring, and sharing their music.
From the album comes the passionate “Broken Bones”. Lead by the heart-warming vocals of co-lead singer Kelsey Wilson, and accompanied by resonating piano chords, ticking percussion, and sweeping string arrangements, the song encompasses the band’s organic and genuine personality. Now, Wild Child have shared the accompanying music video, creating a visually captivating dream-like world.
Wild Child shares some explanation behind the video:
“We tried to look past shooting a direct narrative translation of the song. We wanted to visually display the feeling and spirit that the song produces. It’s supposed to feel like a fleeting memory of a dream. Within dreams there’s no real concept of time and you can jump In and out of thoughts, memories, and visuals that you try and piece back together when you’re awake. This video guides you through that eerie dreamlike world and casts light on memories of past relationships and lost love”.
