Ottawa indie rock underdogs Hollerado have taken some time off since their 2015 single “Firefly” and ambitious 111 Songs project. Small tours and songwriting took up most of their 2016, but the dynamic four-piece are starting off the new year with a bang by releasing their latest single “Born Yesterday”.
Although known for their quirky, melodic indie rock, Hollerado seem to ditch their usual brand of sound for power chord rock and 2000s-esque pop rock for the new track. Sing-along choruses and youthful “yeah yeah yeahs” show a simple, more pop side of Hollerado.
Hear the track for yourself, and catch them on tour in January and February with Sam Roberts Band (dates below). Head to their website for more details.
