AJRadico Explores NYC In His Music Video For “Armor”
21-year old NYC rapper AJRadico aims to push the boundaries of his sound. Self-described as “mythical, personal, and like a Rorschach test“, his style of hip-hop has been heavily influenced by the likes of Timbaland, Kanye West, and Dark Child, all of which have found a way to deliver a uniqueness to their sound. For AJRadico, his single “Armor” has found ways to stand out with its glitchy bass drive and his virtuosic rap flow.
Diving into his background in film studies and art school, the young breakout star combines the minimalist style of early video editing with backdrops of the chaotic streets of New York City. Frantic cuts and strange blends give the video a ’90s-kid indie film feel as AJRadico raps overtop.
