Get Acquainted With Quirk-Rockers Godcaster on their New Single “Sassy Stick Boy”
Somewhere between New York City and Philadelphia lies the enigmatic rock group Godcaster. The six-piece combine washy experimental art-rock with blissfully bright pop elements to create their own uncontainable style of music. With their new full-length Long Haired Locusts coming out on September 4th, the troupe have shared their new single “Sassy Stick Boy”.
Rich with ’80s guitar rock, Godcaster use their unusual lineup of keys, trombone, flute, drums, bass, and guitar to create something that is weirdly mystical and musically alluring. On “Sassy Stick Boy”, chaotic guitar strumming hide behind the airy freedom of its xylophone-esque melody to create a fever dream of rock n’ roll as far-reaching falsetto vocals add to the aesthetic of ’80s superhero cartoon soundtrack.
