Scottish Alt Rock Group Travis Honour Feline Friend In New Video for “Nina’s Song”

Scottish alternative veterans Travis recently shared their ninth studio album Ten Songs late last year. From the release is “Nina’s Song”, a slow-burning rock ballad about life, love, and loss, which has now been given its feline-friendly visual accompaniment. Shot in LA, Liverpool, Glasgow & Lancaster, the video features Travis’ frontman Fran Healy’s cat, Huey, as he takes over the spotlight.

Healy shares, “Huey, our British Blue, is the breakout star of the video. It took a long time. He was very patient though and grateful for all the treats.”

Huey certainly earned his treats, as he sings the emotionally-driven ballad alongside the rest of the band. Healy continues, “To make him sing I worked with Hao Li and his company Pinscreen. Hao is one of the most renowned deepfake artists in the world. It’s actually the first time a deepfake has been made between a human and an animal. The engineers had to push their technology to new places to achieve this. Very smart folk and a lot of fun to work with“.

Despite the song’s heavy and ardent demeanour is lightened thank to Huey’s leading role. Watch it here:
