Vancouver Act I M U R Share Sultry R&B-Pop Hit “Case Of You”
Vancouver’s I M U R, comprised of singer/songwriter Jenny Lea, producer/guitarist Mikey J Blige, and producer/multi-instrumentalist Amine Bouzaher, have been blending together the sounds of R&B, pop, and electro-pop for over five years now. Their latest single “Case of You” is a fresh feature from their upcoming album My Molecules, out June 25th.
Structured around the memories of falling in love and the excitement of inching closer and closer with someone, “Case of You” is a seductive and groovy track complimented by a romance-filled music video as a freshly-formed couple explore the solitude of a late night, as the chorus of “I could drink a case of you” re-centers the song.
The video was directed by Sebastian Hill-Esbrand, produced by Wallop Film, and filmed across various locations in Vancouver. Lead vocalist, Jenny Lea, says: “The video for Case of You came together with Sebastian. There’s a real developed backstory to mine and Maya’s characters. We were from the same town, a few years apart and were trouble makers. We eventually reunite at a party and that ignites an infatuation with one another. Being shit disturbers and one-upping each other is our love language. Throughout the video we keep pushing each other further and further until it reaches a tipping point, where both Maya and I have a close call. Only then do we really understand how much you can get wrapped up in one another.”
