LA Dream-pop Act PWNT Shares Adventurous Vide For “Days In the Summer”
PWNT, the LA-based dream-pop project of Kosta Galanopoulos, has shared his new single, “Days in the Summer”, which will serve as the title track for his upcoming debut album, out June 25, 2021, via Acrophase Records.
Borrowing his moniker from the Miles Davis quote, “play what’s not there”, PWNT fuses together the worlds of 60s psychedelia, 90s Britpop, and the sounds of 2010-era acts such as Passion Pit and MGMT on his latest single.
“Days in the Summer” sets the tone for forthcoming album, incorporating the vintage colours and tones early, and building into a charming, free-spirited, and bright collection of tracks. “This song was another track that I cut at my studio in LA and took to the Miami recording session with me,” explains Kosta. “At the time I was hanging at this bungalow for a few weeks and was engulfed by lots of greens and blues, warm weather, you know… all those feels. Summer feelings. Sandy feet and unbuttoned shirts.”
Filled with sun, the new music video has some fun with the ’60s getaway style movies, as PWNT travels across land, sky, and water with a briefcase and white pants. Watch below and stay tuned for more music:
