FJ Law Shares Heartfelt Letter to His Family On New Single
UK songwriter and producer Danny Hall has had a strong start to 2021 thus far. His previously released singles “tongue tied” and “catching 22” made their way onto my radar, and while Hall has shown his skills as an electro-pop artist on the former, he reels in the showmanship for his reflective and sincere new single “family”.
Off his upcoming debut EP Tape 1, out May 14th, “family” is a vulnerable and glossy love letter to the people that have shaped him his whole life. “A confession to my family, and a love letter to my family”, Hall shares. “Admitting that at the best of times I don’t appreciate the value of having them around supporting me as much as they do. Admitting the struggle I have had with making a career from music and the overwhelming embarrassment of not leaving home because of this. However during any low points I encounter my family are always there to pick up the pieces and drive me to persist until I reach my goals“.
Wrapped in vocal effects, his speak-sing delivery adds a dash of his familiar creative style, while allowing people in on his truer self. Swelling synthesizers and a droning oscillator provide a blanket of sound as he lists off his thanks and admirations.
