Montreal Funk/R&B Artist Wayne Tennant Shares Groovy New Single “W.L.M.2.U”
Montreal R&B artist Wayne Tennant has shared his new single “W.L.M.2.U”, the latest from his upcoming EP Curfew Flowers. Influenced by the funk music of the ’60s & ’70s, most notably the go-go music of D.C., “W.L.M.2.U” (What Lead Me 2 U), brings together groove and sensuality for a sultry and silky tune.
On the inspiration behind the track Tennant says: “The song is about how love makes us do things we never thought we would do. You’re not too cool for love — so let love win”. Hints of Prince, Anderson .Paak, and Outkast come together for the single, as Tennant dons an Andre 3000-style Adidas tracksuit in the accompanying psychedelic music video.
