Melbourne Rapper Jono Channels Ricky Bobby For New Music Video “Bobby”
Hailing from the streets of Melbourne comes Jono, a quickly rising rapper and producer that combines his lyrics with hard-hitting beats to filter through to the top of the underground hip-hop scene. Influenced by the likes of Mos Def, Biggie Smalls, and more contemporary artists such as J. Cole and Bobby Shmurda. Becoming increasingly known for his signature flow and fun music video, Jono is back with his second release of 2021 with “Bobby”, referencing the 2006 film Talladega Nights.
His quick-lipped flow and witty wordplay come together with a chart-ready beat, showing not only a noticeable growth in his presence as an artist, but a welcomed shift into more trap-focused hip-hop. Combining his fresh sound with his personality, the accompanying music video shows his ability to not take himself too seriously while on the come-up.
