German Indie Pop Act Everdeen Release Passion-Filled Tune “Heart Shaped Gutter”
Members of the emerging indie pop scene of Southern Germany, indie rock quartet Everdeen shifted their style for their newly released album Stay. Formed by San Franciscan Ian Stahl and Turkish/German singer Sümeyra in California, the pair eventually relocated to Stuttgart where they met local drummer Thommy Mross and bassist Danny Pflumm. Bringing together flavours of electro-pop and art-pop, the buzz-making group have spent the last few years readying their sound for the debut full-length. From the collection is their passionate and bold single “Heart Shaped Gutter”, throwing together noticeable blend of Florence + The Machine, Of Monsters & Men, and London Grammar.
Written about needing someone so badly “you feel like you’re on fire”, “Heart Shaped Gutter” is an upbeat indie pop track with powerful vocals letting out the love that precedes letting go of someone. Danceable drums, swelling synthesizers and guitars, and powerful vocals from Sümeyra build for an addictive chorus hook.
