Lula Wiles Member Eleanor Buckland Shares Latest Single “I’m Not Saying” From Upcoming Solo Album
Since 2014, Eleanor Buckland has been one-third of Lula Wiles, the Boston-based folk-rock trio. Inspired to write her own solo effort, Buckland is set to release her debut effort You Don’t Have To Know on October 29th. “I think a lot of the album has to do with feeling empowered as a woman,” she states. “It was thrilling to discover my singular voice as an artist in a way I never had before. I grew and felt more confident expressing myself creatively throughout this project. It was amazing and so empowering.”
To match the energy from the upcoming album, Buckland has shared her new single “I’m Not Saying”, which focuses on standing up for yourself in an unhappy relationship. The new single is an upbeat yet melancholic effort, driven by warm folk twang and Buckland’s endearing vocal timbre, as she sings “I’m not saying that I’ve been crying / I’m not saying that I’m the only one trying” before releasing pent up frustration with her honest and candid lyricism.
