Experimental Electronic Artist St. Sol Shares Stunning VR Music Experience With Single “Narcissus”
Best described as a “sonic alchemist”, multi-disciplinary Philadelphia-based artist St. Sol creates stunning soundscapes of swirling textures, shapeshifting instrumentation, and genre-erasing aesthetics. With his new Limina EP set for release on September 24th, ST. Sol has share the lead single “Narcissus” alongside a self-produced experiential 360 music video.
The immersive VR music video is the best way to experience “Narcissus,” which explores the parallels between digital space and the invisible space of the mind – complete with 3D audio and a customizable 360 video version. Soundtracked by the stimulating sounds of nature, a low bass drum, and a gradual drum n bass expansion, “Narcissus” is a compelling combination of sound and visuals.
“The work that I do stems from a genuine place of exploration”, St. Sol shares, “Limina is about this process of coming closer to your core, following the path without knowing where the end is. It sort of orbits around physical and symbolic death and – for me – builds a new relationship to these very necessary, very feared parts of being alive.”
Experience “Narcissus” below, and for those in Philadelphia, you can attend an experiential VR Screening Party on September 18th at the Headlong Dance Theater.
