Indietronica Artist Khazali Shares Glossy New Single “Better With the Devil”
Although always intrigued by art in some form, singer-songwriter Khazali never dreamed of becoming a musician. His debut EP Going Home, which was released earlier this year, came to be as a form of therapy for generalized anxiety disorder, diagnosed in his second year as a graphic design student. Releasing his emotions and insight into his music, the London-based artist combines his introspective lyricism with indietronica influences, from the likes of SBTRKT, Sampha, and Little Dragon.
His new single “Better With The Devil” is his first release since his EP, and brings out his alt-pop and R&B influences, creating an anthem that he describes as “that feeling of sticking with yourself and knowing your instincts, no matter what – whether it’s fun or scary“. With touches of ’80s synth-pop and Khazali’s vibrant vocals at the helm, the song evokes a mysterious and welcoming sense of adventure.
