Haida Gwaii Singer-Songwriter Carsen Gray Shares Gentle Reminder To Savour “Each Moment” On New Single

Haida Gwaii-raised singer-songwriter Carsen Gray has announced her label debut with her new EP Each Moment, out January 28th via Nettwerk Records. Leading the way is the title track and its accompanying music video, showcasing Gray’s uplifting and organic songwriting style. With her hometown about 80 kilometres off the coast of mainland British Columbia, Carsen grew up in the unique location of Haida Gwaii with Indigenous and mixed roots. She returns to her birth place for the new music video, shot on location to highlight the area’s beautiful landscape.

Accentuating the return to nature, “Each Moment” “reminds us that there is beauty all around us and that it’s important to unplug from our cell phones and TV screens and enjoy being in the moment,” says Carsen. With a warm, indie folk pop delivery, the new single is a wonderful combination of sight and sound.

Throughout 2021, she assembled the upcoming EP with her husband, primary collaborator, and producer Joey Stylez.  “I’m grateful for and what I’ve been blessed with for my family, for the life I’ve built, and the creative space I have. Being home in Haida Gwaii, I had the opportunity to create at a Zen pace. We’re all born with a God-given gift. I believe I found mine with music.”
