French Art Pop Artist DeLaurentis Shares New Video “Unica’s Cloud”
From her new concept album UNICA, electronic producer and artist DeLaurentis has shared her captivating new music video for “Unica’s Cloud”. Part of a larger collection of cinematically-striking music videos, “Unica’s Cloud” continues the story from the protagonist’s digital world. In this 3rd film, Unica shares her emotions and her vision of the world where humans and machines could create and invent together. Musically, the usually electro-cinematographic universe of DeLaurentis combines futuristic R&B in line with FKA Twigs and Majid Jordan with electronic influences similar to Grimes and Röyksopp.
Joining forces once again with the directors AB/CD/CD (Franz Ferdinand, Lily Allen), DeLaurentis was inspired by their contemporary style. The new music video dives into a parallel reality where Unica, who has become autonomous and independent, can be part of the real world.
About the video, the directors share: “The Unica’s Cloud video is our 2nd collaboration with Cecile. Her music is very visual and fits our images. It evokes spaces, atmospheres, intrigues. For ” A Big Part Of A Big Sun ” we exploited the tension of the piece by filming a duel between a girl and an alien, centered on faces in a contemplative way in tight shots in a frozen and tense situation. Unica’s Cloud “tells” a different story, closer to the initial concept of the album, but still with the same tension.
