PREMIERE: Berlin Trio Yuphoric Embrace Self-Improvement With Hazy New Hit “Changes”
Berlin-based trio Yuphoric are heading into the new year with one more release, “Changes”, the final track from their new EP of the same name.
Composed of three friends from different continents, Yuphoric captures the feeling of freedom and universal acceptance with their music. Combining the energies of Berlin, New York, and Tel Aviv, Sedric Perry, Yuval Gantz, and Ron Warburg (aka Phøn) find a common ground built on groove, melody, and hazy lo-fi R&B. Vocalist Sedric Perry originally hails from Philadelphia and New York City before landing in Berlin, while guitarist Yuval Gantz found his way over from Tel-Aviv. Rounding out the team is multi-instrumentalist and producer Ron Warburg who is based in New York City. Regardless of the borders, their music feels strong and cohesive, and our their latest single “Changes”, the aim is to spread the message of love and self-acceptance.
About “Changes”, Yuphoric explain “the song and whole experience has been about growth and internal reflection. Learning how to take what comes, and making the most of hard times. We all have them, and sometimes it’s best to relax and let it all play out. In the end everything will be okay. Throughout the past year and a half, we’ve all gone through lots of hardship, tests of patience and persistence. “Changes” is about learning to acknowledge the tough times, keeping your loved ones close and focusing on growth.”
Lead by Perry’s warm, glossy vocals, “Changes” brings out the coziness of lo-fi R&B through its bright guitar chords and layered harmonies – not to mention the charming and always welcomed horn section.
