Stockholm-based singer-songwriter Kim Vestin channels the likes of Kate Bush and Tori Amos on her candid and heartbreaking new single “Set You Free”. Fronted by her haunting vocals and dreamy instrumentation, the self-produced track (alongside Love Sivik) captures the aftermath of a dysfunctional relationship. Warm vocals, twinkling ’80s synthesizers, and glossy guitar rhythms come together for a dramatic and spirited effort.
About the song Kim shares, “Set You Free is about how two people can be in the same relationship yet experience it in opposite ways. And about how we make choices based on the presumption that our experience of something is objectively true, when in reality we’re quite often alone in that experience.”
