Vancouver Indie Folk Duo Hollow Twin Share Stop Motion Lyric Video For New Single “Low Clouds” Off Upcoming Full-Length
Vancouver duo Hollow Twin, composed of vocalist Becky Wosk and musical counterpart Emmalee Watts, have shared their new single “Low Clouds”, the latest from their forthcoming album Soft Hearts, out January 21st.
Centred by the pair’s dark folk sound, “Low Clouds” is a cinematic and stirring song about being disconnected from romantic love. “The song is about processing the thoughts of someone who was once the closest person to you fading to a point that you don’t remember what once was,” shares Wosk.
Inspired by the film ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’, the ethereal and moody tones of the song combine with haunting vocals and lush orchestral arrangements, courtesy of Laura Reznek on violin, Jonah Ocean on cello, and Nick Anderson on french horn.
Alongside the song, the band have shared the stop motion lyric video to accentuate the cinematic and poignant ambience of the song. Watch below:
